About

An Air Force brat who literally lived all over the world, Amber made Cookeville home in 1997 and put down roots fast and deep. Both an entrepreneur and story teller at heart, Amber wanted to create a platform for other local business owners and community leaders to tell their stories and share what they love about this amazing community that she now calls home. And that’s how Connecting Cookeville was born. Cookeville is full of fascinating people who have incredible stories. Stories that need to be heard. While she had no clue how to bring it to pass, Amber decided that a podcast would be the coolest and most convenient conduit for those stories.

Figuring he might have at least one clue, Amber called her friend Zach Buckner one afternoon on her way to eat Mexican. She could barely get her idea out of her mouth before Zach was doing verbal gymnastics on the other end of the line. A podcast junkie himself, this was already an idea marinating in his mind. Born and raised in Cookeville and a true serial entrepreneur, Zach is the perfect complement to the Connecting Cookeville Podcast.

It’s our hope that these stories encourage you. That you not only have a greater appreciation for what makes our community great, but that you also feel compelled to share your story. To inspire and to be inspired. To do life with each other – that’s true community. Find your purpose. Pursue your passion. And find your place to connect with Cookeville.
